So, by far a very popular card at my Card Buffet was this one –
No one really likes to have to make a sympathy card. But, when you have one on hand, you sure feel relieved. I made a similar card some time ago and got several compliments. It inspired me to pull the design out again. And, with the Twitterpated DSP – I was able to make it current! For me, the scale of the designs on the paper and the soft, soothing tones, helped to really set the mood for this card.
Notice how the butterflies stand slightly up –
To achieve this look, I added a Dimensional to each wing, total of 2 per butterfly. Then, the DSP butterflies I folded in half, good side in, to crease them. I added a thin layer of Tombow Glue to the back of the crease and placed it on the card stock butterfly. I held it in place a few seconds until it set. Done. That easy.
Supplies. Petite Pairs Stamp Set. Island Indigo Ink. Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, and Baja Breeze Card Stocks. Twitterpated DSP (Occasions Mini Catalog). Butterfly Punch. Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. Tombow Glue. Diminsionals.
Although this card was a huge success, I will create another sympathy card for the next buffet. You never know when you will need one of these types of cards.
Happy Stampin’
