Happy Friday everyone! I have a special birthday card share today.

I got my inspiration from Techno Stampers. It’s their Monday Lunchtime Sketch 324, TSSC324. See the sketch –

It really lead me in the right direction. The card is for my mom! Today is her birthday! See my take –

I just went with a variety of products here and just kept building upon each of them. The doily was a start. I really like the old fashion DSP pattern from All Bloom. That became a nice circle focal point. The addition of the Simply Pressed Clay flowers was a nice a balance. They really match the ‘style’ of the paper.

I have decided that after all the retired DSP I have, I’m going to use it. Here, I decided to use it on the front of the card and also to make an envelope liner. Love, love, love those envelope liners! I just flipped the DSP over.

The inside of the card holds a nifty surprise too –

Isn’t that cool? A nifty trick using the Word Window Punch. Love this idea to turn a simple card into a gift card holder.

Well, I’m off to celebrate my mom on her birthday!

Miss me? Well, I miss posting.

A lot has gone on in the past week for me, but, I’m sure that’s the case with a lot of you.

I had my Open House this past weekend. It went really well. I’ll work on posting the make’n take we did. It’s really sweet.

I still have lots of retired Stampin’ Up stuff to sell. Pooh. Maybe I should post pictures here as well? You need more stuff, right?

On to my post for today. I’m lovin’ the new fresh colors! I decided to play with DSP and punches here. This card is for Freshly Made Sketches, challenge #90. As usual, a nice clean design to work with.

For my card, I used the Simply Scoring Board to mimic the lines in the DSP, but only on half of the Whisper White. I also played around with the new clay and made some simple flowers. I just rolled a dry flower around on my ink pad.

My sentiment needed to be small, so I went with one from Apothecary Art, first time to use that set.

So Grateful, I choose because among all the stress that people and life brings, I am grateful that my girls are home, even its for a short while.
