Oh what an exciting post today!! As if the rest of the weeks events were not exciting……

Today, my birthday daughter decided to treat herself to a trip for her birthday. A BIG trip! So, of course in mom fashion, I have to document it with a card.

I pulled out the retired stamp set, Sentimental Journey and the DSP, I Am Me. I just happened to find a world map on one of the sheets. So cool! It got the gears to turning…..

But, I was still stumped on a layout……so, I checked my emails and found this sketch over Create with Connie and Mary. Although I think they are looking for fall type entries – it went just perfect for what I had in mind. See the CCMC323 sketch –

CCMC323Very, very appropriate for my focal point, I must say.

And here is what I came up with –

Squeal! I love it. I got quite excited with the way it turned out. Happy, happy dance!

So, I don’t care if it’s not a fall themed card – I was inspired and that is the point of card challenges. Thanks!

I am very excited to hear about this latest adventure my daughter is going on. Such a traveler. She can scratch this off her ‘Bucket List’!! SAFE and HAPPY travels my dear!! And, lots of LOVE to you!!!

What? You can never have too much…….

Journey.

Travel.

It’s that time. My girls are off to the edges of the grand US. Again.

Leaving would not be the same if they didn’t receive a sweet card from me. So, this is what I came up with.

I made the Journey card for my daughter at UCLA. She’s off to take a summer class before starting the fall quarter. Kudos to her! I chose blue, because she likes blue. If you read my post, you know I usually make her cards in shades of blue.

The other card is for my other daughter who recently graduated Tufts University in Boston. She was fortunate to find a job back in Boston for the upcoming school year. She loves to travel and, coincidentally, has a pink suitcase!

Both of these turned out to be just fun cards! I really like this Sentimental Journey Stamp Set – quite fitting for the occasion I must say!
