Happy Friday!
Time for a nifty Fun Fold, although I have no clue what it is called!
Here is the front –
And, when it starts to open –
And fully opened –
So clever, right?
Here is a flat view to understand what is going on with this card –
This gives you a better idea of what is going on!
Here is how I made it –
- card base – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (1/4″ sheet of card stock)
- DSP layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″ (I cheated with mine because I used scraps)
- fold out panel – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2″, 3 3/4″, 7 1/4″, 9″
- 2 DSP flaps – 1 3/4″ x 4
- top square – 3″ x 3″
- top DSP – 2 3/4 ” x 2 3/4″
- Basic White card inside – 3 1/4″ x 4″
You’ll use about a sheet of card stock for the card. Here, I used Soft Sea Foam for my base.
For the center fun fold part, fold the two inner score lines both in, towards the center and the two outer score lines back, away from the center. Make sure they line up.
I went with this Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper simply because it is soo cute!
I did fussy cut, or cut by hand, this sweet polar bear for the front! I used all the penguins from this sheet and I had all these polar bears and foxes left over. I just had to used them!
This is just such a nifty fold! I can not wait to make more of these!
It is just soo cool!
I got this idea from a fellow crafter, Debbie Henderson! Thanks for the wonderful idea, Debbie!
Let me know what you think and if you try it!
