Welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

Here is our newest challenge –

Such classic Christmas colors!!! I love them! And, I had too many directions to go with these colors.

I narrowed it down to this –

A classic card using the retiring stamp from the In The Pines Bundle –

I stamped the tree in the two greens and added the sentiment below. Since everyone celebrates the holidays a little different, I went with a Thinking of You sentiment.

I die cut the stamped images using the Nature’s Thoughts Dies. It has a really sweet border die that creates a nice frame.

I embossed the Read Red with the (also retiring, and on sale for half off) Winter Snow Embossing Folder! It added some much needed texture.

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our latest two-week challenge –

Optional Theme : Wreath or Foilage

Great idea as I am designing cards for my annual Christmas card class.

Simply sweet as I’d like to say.

I due cut the same wreath design from the Wreath Builder Dies in two colors and adhered them askew.

I placed them on a strip of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper. I made the bottom a banner by cutting up the center about 1/4″ and making a diagonal cut from each end to the top of the cut in the center. Easy, easy, when you want a quick flag look.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment nice and sharp.

Lastly, I added a bow made from Real Red 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim. It added texture and dimension for the card. I love it!

Christmas Wreath
