I had a fabulous Card Buffet this past weekend. Lots of card choices and lots of products to play around with. I have so much fun seeing people get excited when they create something they really like.
Have you had a chance to play around with this Sale-a-Bration set, Lotus Blossom? It is so addicting! Trying different colors and variations with the stamping.
I featured another card this month using this set. I went a little bold and used unconventional colors.
It’s so nice, isn’t it? Bold, right? The red just adds just enough of a pop of color this card needed.
I stamped this in reverse order of the recommended way. The solid image was stamped first in Smokey Slate. The middle image was in Basic Gray, followed by the highlighting stamp in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I chose to do it this way for two reasons.
First, at my last Card Buffet, my stampers commented about how this stamp didn’t line up exactly. That bothered them. It’s not a big deal because this is a water-color stamp that’s not supposed to be perfect.
I also noticed that the triple time Lotus Blossom stamp works in opposite order just fine! You just have an easier reference by starting with a solid image.
Go grab this stamp and just play with it. Have some fun and create your own color pattern you like.
If you don’t have it, then you can receive it free when you purchase $50 in Stampin’ Up products!
Happy Stampin’
