Our Sincerest Condolences

Hello Friday!

I’m getting ready for a Card Buffet this weekend so I am designing lots of cards in preparation for it.

Sadly, I had to create a condolence card for a good friend who lost her mother earlier in the week.

These are never an easy card to create. And, how did I not have one just in case I needed one????

I came up with one. I kept it simple and to the point.

I decided to use serene colors. And, this stamp set, Kindness & Compassion, was perfect. Wording is key for these type cards.

I’ll admit, I was stumped. Yes, me, the avid card maker.

I had to get inspiration from two sources :

Luckily, the colors and the sketch were just what I needed for this type card. Wouldn’t you agree?

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features a vintage looking card.

Oh, these are fun to create!

I decided the Tasteful Textures stamp was a great choice for this type of card –

I repeatedly stamped this pretty antique looking shape in Sahara Sand on Sahara Sand.

I added the sentiment from the same stamp set, stamped in Merry Merlot.

The Pressed Petals Washi tape was a nice addition to the side of the sentiment strip.

I used the other pattern from the same washi tape set, adding it above and below that strip.

Since the card base is this beautiful Merry Merlot, a darker color, I added Very Vanilla panel to the inside. I also decorated it a bit –

I added a strip of washi tape and some petals to the inside of the card. Just adds a little something something.

Happy Anniversary

I want to wish a very special friend a very special anniversary.

It is their 30th!!! Wow!

In honor, I created a simple, lovely card –

I started with making the layered flowers piece. I used several of the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape petals creating a square before deciding what shape I’d cut out.

I found the ‘Happy Anniversary’ sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I stamped it diagonally on the panel in Garden Green. It matched the petal color nicely. I did not us the Stamparatus for this. I just stamped them as best as I could next to one another.

I decided I’d like a heart on top of the sentiment. I found a good sized one from the Be Mine Stitched Dies.

The layer and the heart were popped up on Dimensionals for added depth.

Pretty elegant I’d say!

Kre8tors Blog Hop – Anything Floral

Hello, my stampin’ friends! Thank you for dropping by today!

I am happy to be a part of a blog hop today –

Our theme is anything floral!

Floral. Soo many choices for this theme!

I decided to go with something rather unnoticed in the Stampin’ Up catalog. The Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape –

I really passed right over it numerous times. Looking for something else, then I took a closer look and decided to buy it!

It is very very pretty, making gorgeous flowers, simply!

The look especially nice when paired with this nice dies –

Right? Beautiful!?

The flower is made with the individual petals placed on a circle (my base), in circle. I added these nifty Perennial Essence Floral Centers. Quite simple, and oh, so fast to put together!

I added that on a Stitched Lace panel in Very Vanilla. Also a beautiful, gorgeous die.

The sentiment is from Beautiful Friendship. All comes together for a lovely floral card. Wouldn’t you agree?
