Painting Thanksgiving? It’s just a short, snappy title for my card share today.
This was one of the most popular cards from my Card Buffet this past weekend. It was a card showing the painters tape technique that is sooo popular currently. That is what made up the background for this card.
How to do this in case you don’t know. You need an ink pad and a strip of blue painters tape. Gently rub the tape on the ink pad to ‘pick up’ some of the ink. Then, lay the tape on your card and rub the tape on your card front. Pull back the tape and what is left is the ink! It transfers it. Very cool. Depending on how aggressive you rub and the color you choose will determine how dark the ink transfer will be.
In this card, I chose Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. Made for a very nice fall background effect. The Magnificent Maple was randomly stamped over the background technique. Ribbon was added and a sentiment and done!
I was skeptical about this technique until I tried it. I love it! I’ll be using this again!
Happy Stampin’
