Fun Fold Fridays – Bendi Card

Happy Fun Fold Friday!

Today I’d like to share a nifty take on a card I made on Monday and a card I made a few years ago!

I’ve seen this fold called different things, I’ll go with Bendi Card…..here is today’s Bendi Card –

Adorable!!! This would brighten anyone’s day!

I adhered the sentiment to look as though it is floating!

Best if all, it is mailable in an A2 envelope!

Yes, I used the same elements that I did Monday. I decided to have this one as an option on my Card Buffet, so I needed a little easier card.

I started with the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper because it is on sale currently! There are a couple of all blue patterns that are nice for this card. I liked the stripes.

The clouds we made using the Basic Border Dies –

The stamp set is Sunny Sentiments and it is awesome! One of those must have stamp sets actually!

The Layering Circles Dies made the perfect scalloped edging around the sentiment. Resembles a sun!

Such a sweet card, wouldn’t you agree?

Happy Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!

Here is our latest two week sketch to get you creatin’ –

Bendy card? I’ve seen them, never tried to make one! Until today!

I looked into it. Actually, rather easy!

Here is my take on one –

Rather adorable I’d say!

I’ll attempt an explanation…..To create this, I started with a base of 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. I added a piece of the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper (it is on sale!).

I took a piece of Basic White, 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, scoring along the 4 1/4 side at 1/2″. I rotated the card stock and cut it at 2 1/2″. I cut each strip top using the Basic Border Dies creating the cloud lines.

I cut little tabs in each cloud strip opposite the score lines. I made a slit in the card base after the Designer Series paper was adhered. I made a second slit in the first cloud line for the second cloud strip. As a tip, I recommend going over the cloud strip with a bone folder to soften the card stock and make the curve easier to look rounded.

The sentiment just fits this card!!! It is from Sunny Sentiments –

Of course, it was stamped using the Stamparatus!

This card just makes me smile!!!!

Hello! Happy Saturday!

Welcome the the second of three blog hops for me today!

Our theme this hop around is anything new from Stampin’ Up!. Sooooo how about new stuff from the January to June Mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration Mini?

I went with the You Are Amazing stamp set along with the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper –

I had a difficult time deciding just which pattern to go with, so I used all eight in the pack to create a sweet set of birthday cards –

I also added the sentiment from You Are Amazing stamped in the same color as the card stock.

I made each card the exact same. This will make a perfect gift set for someone or I might just mail them out this month. Lots of January birthdays!

After stamping, I punched the sentiments out and backed them with a die cut Silver Foil scalloped circle.

The strip under the sentiment was a scrap from another set of cards I created with this paper. I use everything! Lol!

I punched the balloons from the Balloon Bouquet Punch in the exact same spot on each piece of pattern paper to get the same variation.

To tie in the Silver Foil, I added the Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the cards.

These are just so sweet!!!
