Yes, another graduation card share. And, a funny title too, you think?

Half the time, I don’t know what to name these posts. So, since this one had visible money in it, seemed appropriate. ‘Cause what graduate doesn’t like receiving money?? And, oh ya, run with this money, it’s a folded $1.00 bill!

Looking at my post and trying get creative in writing, I had to stop and just laugh. My numbers are all caddywhompus. That’s the beauty of using Tombow, or green glue! It dries that quick. Lol. So, yes, I know my numbers are a bit, uneven.

Anyway, I really love this card. It is unique. I made it a while back as I was brainstorming ideas for the buffet. Well, this one got shoved under some stuff and forgotten about. Sad. So sad. I WILL have to pull this out next year and recreate it. As you can see, it was pretty simple. Basic stampin’ and punchin’.

I did get a little fancy with the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin’ Pad on the background. Yes, a bit hard to see, but it’s there.

Now, the only trick to this is everything is double dimensionaled (is that even a word??). Meaning – stack two dimensionals a top one another for extra height. That allows for the money, or check to slip in nicely!

Pretty sweet, isn’t it? I think so!

Congrats College Grad

Congratulation, my dear niece Jessica! You are now an official COLLEGE graduate!

I made this card just for you. Very simple. Very elegant. Very sophisticated. Very Jessica.

It’s just a simple folded card to hold money or a check.

I stamped all over the card in the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Pad using the stamp set Blue Ribbon. On the inside, a simple greeting from Pure Gumption.

I added the detail of a tassel in her Texas State University school color on the front along with one of my favorite additions to any card, a James Avery charm. So, it’s extra special!

As you can see when the card is opened, the charm can be removed. Oh yes, and the money too!!

We are very proud of your accomplishment Jessica! Lots of love to you!

Mr & Mrs

Now, who’s getting married? No one. But, it’s always good to have a wedding card on hand, just in case!

This was one of the March choices again. So sad, I do not even think I took a picture of my March board! And, my April board is ready to go. This is the last of those cards to share, I think?

This was a popular card too. And, why not? It features Glimmer Paper, who doesn’t love that? The background also is stamped with Illuminate Glimmer Watermark! So fun! So cool! Adds enough of a shimmery touch to kick this card up a notch! And, as you can see, a little ‘&’ from Ciao, Baby! Makes a perfect presentation for the new Mr & Mrs!

In My Thoughts & Heart

Simple. Serene.

Todays posting goes out to all those affected by this weeks unspeakable tragedies. Boston is close to my heart, as my daughter goes to school in Boston. She is ok. My co-worker has family in West. They are ok as well.

Turning on any sort of media: the tv, a computer, or the radio, you can not help but see or hear the endless loop of the coverage of what has occurred this week. We will get through this. It will make us stronger, as one, as a whole.

I debated whether or not to post a creative project regarding this weeks events. I chose to do so because we cope in different ways. People need to know you care. If I inspire you to create something for a family member, a friend, a co-worker, or someone you don’t even know to uplift their spirits, then I have done something good.

I have had this sketch pinned for a few days now. It’s from Technostamper. They host a Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. This one is TSSC259. It had been nagging at me to try it. So, I did. I reversed my design from the original.

It’s a simple card. I used the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Pad to stamp leaves from the Secret Garden stamp set onto Concord Crush card stock. My photo is tilted a bit to show off the leaves. They are difficult to see and photograph. My sentiment comes from Word Play. Retired Poly Twill ribbon and Large Basic Pearls finish this design off.

Hi, Friday

Hi, Friday. What a long week. How about a card to celebrate it?

I am always making cards for my girls in college. It’s always nice to get stuff from home. And, yes, this is one of them. But, since I am posting it today, I thought why not call it, Hi, Friday. So I did.

It’s a pretty basic card. Nothing too fussy. What is cool about this card? A few things.

The background is stamped crowns in the cool Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Ink Pad! Probably hard to see in this photo, but trust me, they are there. And, a nifty thing.

When I went to die cut the H and the I, I did it from one piece of card stock. The result was this cool negative space that I could still use! The Glimmer Paper is actually behind the HI! I used the cut outs for, you guessed it, another card. I used the Typeset Alphabet here. Perfect size!

It’s Friday, go make someone a card and make their day – it does not need to be too fussy!

Dressy Birthday

Have you played ‘Dress Up’ yet birthday girl?

I was skeptical at first when I saw this dress collection that includes framelits and a stamp set. It really didn’t do anything for me. However, at the Dallas Regionals, I saw some demonstrations and lots of samples made using a variety of products from this suite. And, so cute. So cool. So fun!

Ok. I decided to get them. And, to tell you truth, it IS like playing with paper dolls. You just want to keep creating different dresses and playing around with patterned papers to make clothing, adding ribbons, embellishments – whatever you want. It really IS fun!

This is one of the cards I created for my Card Buffet this weekend. It is also one that I decided not to make because I created another card I liked better. Imagine that? It happens in the design process. Lots of designs get cut. But, I’ll be happy to share with you.

The dress is made from Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper. The oval has a nice swirl in that neat-o Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin’ Pad. I thought it added a little dazzle to the card. Don’t you agree?

If you are on the fence about this item, I say, go for it. These are just, FUN! And, we could all use a little fun in our stampin’!

Cheers, It’s Friday

Yay! It’s Friday! So, an early morning ‘Cheers’ to you. For your coffee, tea or orange juice.

I am intently working on my next weeks Card Buffet. It takes times, lots of time. I am also designing some Graduation Announcements for my Godchild. Always paper crafting!

So, I made a quick 3×3 that turned out quite stunning I must say! The addition of the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Everything Eleanor swirls really adds a classy touch here.

Wouldn’t these look nice next to a glass of wine or beer for your special someone this evening? Or these would make nice invitations to a cocktail party…..

Ok, let’s get your mind going here, what do you think the ‘goblet’ is? I did not list that item used. I’ll post the answer Saturday.
