Our theme this week features 80’s some titles again! This week, “Every Rose Has It’s Thorns”, featuring cards with flowers.

I literally am still singing this song as I create this post!!!

I went with this gorgeous Healing Hugs –

Only this time I used it for a beautiful birthday card! Simply changing the sentiment stamp changed the feel of the card. I used Perennial Birthday.

I initially inked up my stamp in Poppy Parade and stamped the random roses all as a background. I did the same for the leaves using Garden Green.

I went to create a single rose for a fussy cut focal point and realized my pad was a way old linen Poppy Parade pad! I must say, it made for a great softer background but changed I it to the new style pad for the bolder look in the flower.

I also fussy cut the leaves too. And, of course, the banner after I stamped it.

I put the panels askew and added the sentiment and I was done! I love it!! I think I’ll send this to my mom next week for her birthday.

Happy Saturday! As we close another month, where did the time go???

Speaking of time, it’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features our Favorite New Greeting.

That’s like picking your favorite child!!! We have soo many great greeting!

I decided to go with a unique greeting –

This is a gorgeous new stamp set, Healing Hugs. It’s one of the Dist’Ink’tive stamps. The images look so real when stamped.

I stamped the flower in the new neutral, Merry Merlot, and fussy cut it out. The leaves are stamped twice in the returning color, Mossy Meadow. It’s also from the neutral family.

The card base is embossed with the Subtle folder. Perfect for adding just a little something to a card.

I think this will be a perfect card to send to someone not feeling so well! It will definitely perk them up!
