Ahhhh. Another fun birthday. Twenty-five.

I just love when I have a person to create for when I make a card. And, when I have a sketch!

I’m playing along with Techno Stamper today. They have a twice a month challenge. I love that idea because then I actually have time to gather my creative thoughts and play around with it. Here is the sketch –

I loved it! I had just received my pre-order and a stack of new washi tape was speaking to me. Combining a 25th birthday and this, here is my design –

I went with a card front (I can wait for our new thicker Whisper White card stock) and the ‘card’ is the little side panel. See it tucked in? Something different.

I pulled out a couple of way retired products here too. The tab punch for the card closure and the Go-Go Boots Alphabet for the 25. I had nothing else that really worked. Glad I held on to these items – you never know!

I’m really liking this Cucumber Crush green color. It’s bright and fun.

A Year to Remember, 2014

How are you going to remember those important ‘little’ things in 2014? How about jotting them down in a memory book?

How about this nifty little journal that I created? Just take a look at it. Sweet, huh? I repurposed a ready-made journal I found using some upcoming new products.

Before Christmas, I was asked to make these for gifts. I whipped them up in no time and she loved them. And, I did too! So much, that I created more for myself. These are the ones I made before Christmas. I had snapped this (not too good) photo before I gave them to her.

I used some upcoming Sale-a-Bration DSP called Sweet Sorbet. The ‘polka dot’ Decorative Label Punches are from the Good as Gold Card Kit. They have a bit of ‘gold’ in them that just ties everything together.

The gold 2104 is cut from the envelope liner in the card kit. It is the retired Go-Go Boots Alphabet. I printed ‘A Year to Remember’ on Whisper White and just framelit cut it out. I used the Chalk Talk Framelits.

I tied the gold elastic cord around the side for a little extra something.

Quite simple, but quite stunning.

Bizarre HI

Yep, that’s right, I call this ‘Bizarre Hi’. Why, do you ask?

Well, it’s because of this funky DSP, International Bizarre! You guessed it, another card challenge. This one is from Stampin’ Connection again, SCCSC165. And, in Libby fashion, I turned it on its side!

This is my second time to join them. Love the clean, simple lines of this sketch. And, I have to admit, I used the International Bizarre Designer Series Paper, again. The patterns in this funky pack are all so different. So, you probably would not have noticed that unless I told you!

The colors here are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry. By turning the card on its side, the flag points to the sentiment. Adds a little punch. And, it really makes a difference. ‘HI’ does become the focal point. I used the retired Go Go Boots Sizzlit Alphabet for the ‘HI’. Also, this card requires few supplies! An added bonus!

This should brighten someones day, ya think?
