Happy Friday!
I have a quick and easy fun fold today – a latch card!
I went with a card that really showed off the Designer Series Paper, as this one, a several others are on sale! For this card, I used the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper –
This card style really shows off the coordination of the prints!
I did not add a lot of detail here as I wanted to show something simple so you get the idea how this works. Here it is open –
I used a basic card base, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/2″, something you quite frequently make. The i removed a 1 1/4″ strip parallel to the score line to use for thee flap. That piece, I scored at 3 3/4″. No waste!
I adhered my Designer Series Paper on the outside. After, I used a retired Classic Label punch to create a slit in the front of the card about an inch from the bottom of the card front, saving the scrap. A thin die would work as well!
I figured where my flap would insert and adhered the smaller portion to the back of the card insert. I adhered that down with a strong adhesive like Tear & Tape. I also added the Designer Series Paper strip.
I stamped a sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set for the strip on the front.
Simple done!
And easily made –
Please let me know if you have any questions! This Fun Fold is one sure to try! Make yourself a pattern too, so you will always know how to make it!
