Congratulations, CASEing the Catalog

Happy 4th of July!!

And, welcome to our Thursday Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge!

For the next month, we are CASEing the new catalog! Here is our inspirational photo –

And, here is what I did using the First Frost stamp set –

I stamped the flowers in Merry Merlot on Whisper White. The stems are stamped in Mossy Meadow, also on Whisper White.

I used the Crackle Paint stamp on the Very Vanilla panels.

The leaves are stamped in Versamark on Crumb Cake for a very light effect.

Instead of ribbon, I used a strip of card stock and cut the ends on a diagonal to make it look like ribbon.

I followed the card and layout, I just used a different stamp set.

Favorite Designer Series Paper – Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!

Our theme this week features our Favorite Catalog Designer Series Paper (DSP).

That’s a tough one! Have you seen the new holiday mini???? So many pretty Christmas papers in the new catalog!!

I went with one I feel is a bit fall-ish, Frosted Floral Specialty.

Here, I created a lovely card suitable for a birthday, wedding or any other special occasion.

I used a generous piece of this DSP because it’s so lovely. It has a shimmer to it. When the card is opened, it shows another side of this beautiful paper!

The outer flowers and greenery are from the First Frost bundle. What’s really nice about these Frosted Bouquet framelits, is that a few of the flowers come with double framelits! Sure makes quick work of die cutting when you have multiple framelits!

First Frost Immeasurable Loss

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge!

Here is our newest challenge, colors –

These are fun, new colors!

And, I decided to use a new stamp to show them off! It’ll be available in the upcoming Holiday mini.

It’s called First Frost. And, as you can see, it has framelits to go with it too!

The background is a single long stamp that I stamped numerous times, once, then again.

There are two sizes of flowers in the set. I stamped both in both ink colors. The Frosted Bouquet Framelits includes two of the smaller flowers for quicker cutting! How cool is that!?!?

I’ll admit, the sentiment is from the August Paper Pumpkin kit, Blissful Blooms. It’s just too beautiful of a sentiment. Once my card was complete, this reminded me of a sympathy card too.
