We Create – March Blog Hop

My third post for today, Three Post Thursday, is another blog hop for We Create.

Our theme is to create a card, then recreate it again, adding elements to ‘step it up’, make it fancy.

I made this card last week for a card challenge –

It was a total hit! I loved it sooo much that I wanted to feature it on my Card Buffet for February. However, the 6×6 pack of Designer Series Paper wasn’t quite enough for a whole class.

The whole card front uses most of a 6×6 page. This is both sides of the paper, flipped.

I came up with this modified idea –

Equally as adorable too! And, I was able to get more cards for the four sheets I had! Everyone who wanted to make the card was able to! Yay!

The top of the card’s texture is made from the Sweetheart embossing folder. The pie covers the flat heart portion! That texture resembles the polka dots – perfect!

The adorable pie was created using a Sale-a-Bration folder called Basket Weave. You can can get that free from me by placing a qualifying order. I’d be happy to help you with that.

Another nifty tip, the heart was gold and I colored it using a Blends marker! Instant matching!

Not sure which one is cuter! Both I think!

Sweet as Pie

Challenge #357. Optional Theme : Shaker Card

I made a simply sweet card –

Although it’s not a shaker card, it’s still delightful as can be!

The newest Sale-a-Bration embossing folder makes a really realistic looking pie! It was so fitting for the sketch!

Sweet Day

Today I’m designing for FUN and just playing with my paper and stamps!!

I loved our other sketch at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday (we have two Design Teams, I’m on the other one) –

Challenge #350. Optional Theme : Smell the Goodies

And, it really paired so nicely with the Addicted to CAS Challenge #125 – Sweets!

I had this lovely idea . . . . . . .

I had a little bit of both these Designer Series Papers left. Plenty for a perfect card creation here! And, yes, I fussy cut those teeny tiny cupcakes!! One of the coffee cups is framelit cut, the other, fussy cut. I forgot about that framelit on the first one!

Let’s see what other fun I can get into now by just playing with my paper and stamps!! LOL!!

Birthday Sprinkles

Whew. Time to slow things down a bit today with a Create with Connie and Mary challenge.

We have a cool layout today to spark your creativity –

The past few days, my challenges have used the Cool Treats Bundle. Today, no different. I like for you to have some great ideas when I encourage to purchase a new bundle, lol!

Here is my take with this layout –

Sweet. Fun. Easy.

The silver foil bowl is ‘filled’ it with chocolate, strawberry and peach ‘ice creams’!!!

It’s a really fun card that I’m really happy with! I can’t wait to send it out!

Sweet Treats for Watercooler Wednesday #108

This is the typical Wednesday for me, a post for Watercooler Wednesday. Today, this is post number two of three!

This is a weekly design team I’m on.

We have a great sketch from Gail this week –

A little edgy. A lot of fun!

I do admit, I was stumped with which way I should go.

Ultimately, I decided with the same set i did yesterday. The Cool treats Bundle.

Simply a nice little birthday card.

What really made this card was the over use of the Wink of Stella Glitter pen! I really didn’t mean too. It’s a new pens and it just started coming out! It happens!

Cool Treats Birthday

It’s been a few days since I’ve posted. I’m trying to recover from last week and being so sick.

Since it’s Tuesday, it’s time for a Try a Stampin’ on Tuesday challenge –

Challenge #311. Optional Theme : Checkerboard or Plaid

Pretty cool layout! Perfect for the Cool Treats Bundle –

Since we needed to use ‘checks’ – this paper was the way to go! It made for a really cute, sweet card!

I used some of the new glimmer DSP you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration for the sparkly ice cream scoops!!! They look yummy, don’t they? The repeated stamped sentiment is also a Sale-a-bration item too!!!!
