Happy Fun Fold Friday!
I’m sharing a classic today, a Dutch Door card!
(Actually, I’ve heard of 2 versions. I’ll share one today!)
When you open it –
It is such an easy card! And, again, one that has no wasted pieces when you cut this style of card.
You start with a regular 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card, scored at 4 1/4″. Before closing the card, cut along the scored line, from the top, down to 2 3/4″. Rotate the card, cut the section away. Save it to use as the front panel! The size should be 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. I used Granny Apple Green for my base.
Now, the focal point of this card is the adorable Party Puffins stamp set –
I used the Stamparatus to get a nice crisp, clean, dark image here. The feet and beaks were colored with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends and then, yes, I fussy cut these little sweets puffins!
I also used the Stamparatus for the words. I did the hinge stamping technique moving the card stock down to be able to stamp in between the words.
Such a fun card when opened –
I placed the Artistry Blooms Sequins around the front panel for some added interest and to fill in that space.
I forgot to mention, this sweet, fun, bright pattern paper is the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. It contain 48 sheets, yes, a lot of paper!! It is a host only item. Well worth your selection!
Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love to know what you think of my Dutch Door Card!
