Happy Friday!
Time to play with paper again in a fun way!
How about an Open Panel Card? Or two –
This is a clever card design because when you cut the pieces for it, you waste nothing!
The card base is 4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 5 1/2″. From one side of the card, cut at 3 3/4″. From that piece, cut another strip at 1 3/4″. You have 1 3/4″ strip at the top, 1 3/4″ for the bottom and the remaining 2″ piece for the vertical, connecting piece on the card. Here are my cuts –
As you can see, I added the pattern paper cuts too. That starts with a double sided piece, 4″ x 4 3/4″ (depending on the pattern) or rotated 4 3/4″ x 4″. Cut strips at 1 1/2″ and 1 3/4.
This was a simple version with no added stuff on the panel.
This one was stepped up with the ice cream on the panel.
Both cards I stamped the same sentiment in the ‘window’.
And added the Resin Hearts around it. The more detailed card,  the white ones were colored with a Blends to make them match!
Both are adorable and so fun!
When the cards are opened, here is what they look like –
You just have to remember where to write on them so it doesn’t show through the window on the front!
- Stamp Set – Sweet Ice Cream
 - Bundle – Sweet Ice Cream
 - Card Stock – Coastal Cabana, Basic White
 - Ink – Bermuda Bay
 - DSP – Ice Cream Corner
