Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week features one layer card!
This can be a challenge! But, grab your Stamparatus and it will make it a lot easier for this card –
Isn’t this cool using the Sale-a-bration* stamp set, Happy Birthday to You?
Looks pretty easy, but just how did I do this????
First, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the cake directly on to my card front. I left it there, do not move it (green magnet).
Then, I used the coordinating Birthday Dies (you can purchase these) to cut out a blank cake in very thin paper. I used part of an envelope from some junk mail.
I placed the die cut cake over the stamped cake and secured it with a (purple) magnet. Sort of like masking.
I then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment repeatedly over the masked cake.
I just kept going, moving my plate up a rung in the Stamparatus, inking and stamping.
I did have to carefully move the magnets to finish stamping.
When all the stamping was done, this is what it looked like.
I colored the cake with Blends when I was finished with my one layer card!
Go forward to check out Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I know they’ll have some great projects to inspire us!
