Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week features cards using a special technique.
I decide to go with an oldie, painters tape and an ink pad.
Here’s the finished card –
How did I create the stripe background?
I first grabbed supplies : a piece of Whisper White card stock, painter’s tape and some coordinating ink pads.
I tacked my card stock to scratch paper. I tore off three strips of tape. I opened the ink pads and determined my color order. I put the first piece of tape along the ink pad patting it to collect ink. I then placed it on the card stock and rubbed it transferring the ink to the card stock.
I repeated this a few times with a new strip of tape for each color.
After I filled the card stock with ink stripes, I dies cut the shape I wanted.
I decided to add this cute chick from Full of Happiness. It looks real! The sentiment was light hearted. Soo cute!
Pull out some Painters Tape or washi tape and revisit the!
Go forward to check out Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I know they’ll have some great projects to inspire us!
