Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop!
Our theme this week features Simple Stamping.
Ok, this is supposed to be easier, but sometimes it is a bit more difficult!
Once you figure out the stamp set and the direction you want to go in, it really is easy!
I decided to mimic the Texas state flower, a Bluebonnet for this card –
I used the Incredible Like You stamp set for this card.
I flower is inked up and stamped three times. The first was full ink, then each time I stamped, getting lighter as I went up. Just like a Bluebonnet in real life.
The stems / leaves were inked up, stamped on a scrap piece of paper once, then stamped up to three times to create the different shades of green. Since this Call me Clover is a nice, vibrant green, it allowed for several more stamped images after the initial stamping off.
I stamped the sentiment in the upper right side.
Very pretty, simply done!
I have been trying to incorporate Simple Stamping at my monthly Card Buffets. I think this would be a great one to feature this month!
Go forward to check out Debbie Henderson, and back to Mary Brown. I know they’ll have some great simple stamping cards to show us!
