Happy first day of February and, happy Three Post Thursday!
My first post is for Create with Connie and Mary and our newest challenge. A color challenge –
‘Lovely’ colors! Perfect for expressing love!
When I saw these colors, I thought of the massive tulip fields I’ve seen in Holland. I decided to use the hostess set, Tranquil Tulips, as a starting point for my card.
I stamped the tulips in the colors of the challenge, then fussy cut them out.
Then they sat there. It happens, right? After several ‘arrangement options’, I settled on this –And, I LOVED IT!!!!
My card base is one of my favorites this year, the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes in Calypso Coral. I then layered with Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White and these beautiful tulips!
The sentiment was stamped. At that point, the card needed something else. I added the tiny dotted stamp from the Tranquil Tulips – that looked like a heart – randomly on the card. That was it. That was what the card needed!
I hope I have inspired you to play with these colors and submit a card to our Facebook page. Additional card samples from our Design Team can been seen on our blog. Check us out!
