Ahhh, I love designing for these bi-weekly challenges over at Try Stampin’ Or Not On Tuesday!
We have another great ‘go-to’ sketch for you to play around with –
Challenge #289. Optional Technique : Die cuts
I loved this sketch! See what I did with it –
Yep. Another stunning flower from the Thoughtful Branches bundle! Definitely a great use of the ‘optional die cut’ theme here.
The flower portion I stamped and die cut it out. I then cut another one out and flipped it over.
Ever look at a real hydrangea flower? It’s sort of hard to see an exact color. Some are a mix of bluish-purple. That’s what I was trying to recreate here.
The flower itself, I also popped up on dimensionals to make it stand out just a bit more. See the shadow in the picture?
The stem, I cut the leaf on the right off. I moved it down to avoid covering up the sentiment.
This is just a beautiful card. And, a beautiful use of the sketch. What do you think?

This is a beautiful card Libby and a great use of the Thoughtful Branches stamp set. I really think Stampin Up made a mistake not having this one in the AC. Love the colour mix and that flower is gorgeous!
