I made a card for my other daughter today. No birthday, but a special day non the less.
It’s her first day as a junior at University of California Los Angeles. She’s been there as a freshman and sophomore, but, it is still a lonnnng way from home!
So this is for her –
Notice the colors??? Almost spot on Stampin’ Up!
I used those nifty Little Letter Thinlits we have. And, I went rouge – without the Magnetic Platform!! I think I did pretty good. Sometimes these letters shift or move on the magnet, so I just decided to go free with them. It’s ‘pretty’ straight.
It is a simple card as she is not into all the fuss and fluff. Some retired ribbon helped to add a little color.
And, hard to see in the picture, but I colored the letters with a glittery gel pen. Here is an up close photo –
For a subtle pop on the card. It just needed that little somethin somethin!
Well sunshine, have a great day, and, a great year!!!
Happy Stampin’

You did ‘cut’ your letters out of the top layer, right? My depth perception is not what it used to be!! I think you did an excellent job of lining the letters up. I would have never thought past cutting out the letters and putting them on top.
Good job. Nancy

Thanks Nancy! Yes, I did cut the letters out and placed that on top of the Marina Mist card stock. I colored them with a glimmery gel pen afterwards. So fun!!
